T.I.'s seventh studio album 'No Mercy' has been certified gold, six week after its release.

The gold certification was officially announced on the rapper's Trap Muzik blog after 500,000-plus copies of the album were shipped in the U.S. 'No Mercy' was released on Dec. 7., a month after T.I. began his current sentence in an Arkansas jail for violating his probation. Despite worries that 'No Mercy' would not receive proper promotion, on the album's release date, Tip took to his blog to thank fans for their support, writing, "So here it is ... NO MERCY, the most honest and intimate installment of my life story as promised. Hope y'all enjoy it and it lives up to the very high standards I've set for myself or anyone who's to be considered one of the best."

The album's most recent single 'That's All She Wrote,' featuring Eminem has landed at No. 18 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. Additional features on the album include Christina Aguilera, Drake, Chris Brown, Pharrell, The-Dream, Trey Songz and Kid Cudi.

T.I.'s 2008 album 'Paper Trail' hit the gold mark during it's first week in stores and was later certified double platinum.
