The-Dream Switching From the Mic to the Pen
Terius "The-Dream" Nash prefers to keep a low profile. His arsenal of platinum plaques and ASCAP awards seem to play the back door to his need for personal privacy. The songwriter/singer is credited for being the creative force behind chart topping hits penned for international pop stars such as Britney Spears, Madonna, Rihanna, and Beyonce, among others. With his third and rumored final solo album, 'Love King,' scheduled for release on June 29, The-Dream has his eyes set on putting the mic down. Because contemporary urban artists simply aren't challenging his creative palette, The-Dream intends to use his pen to dominate the R&B charts
"I love Kanye. He's literally the only person that challenges me. He has an overwhelming love for music also, and that's why he's misunderstood. The boy is a genius," The-Dream told The New York Times. "You can be mad all you want, but he loves what you listen to more than you love it. When he lost his mom I cried."
While always referring to himself as a songwriter, first, The-Dream's infectious solo records have quickly becomes staples on radio outlets and clubs across the globe. With that said, his constant threats of hanging up the mic often create cliffhangers of sorts when it comes to his albums, will 'Love King' be his last? Only time will tell.
