Suspected Murderer of T-Pain’s Niece Found Dead in Tallahassee [VIDEO]
The suspect who allegedly murdered T-Pain’s niece last August was found dead in the woods in Tallahassee, Fla., on Tuesday night (Feb. 21).
According to Tallahassee Democrat, police believed that suspect Tavon Jackson committed suicide. No other additional information was provided.
Jackson was long suspected of killing T-Pain’s niece, Javona Glover, who was his ex-girlfriend. On Aug. 30, Jackson reportedly stabbed Glover at the Walgreens store where she worked. Since then, he has been on the run evading police. Prior to the incident, Jackson and Glover endured a tumultuous relationship while they raised their 2-year-old daughter before separating.
Glover's mother, Jennifer Battles, thanked the Tallahassee police for their work and bring closure to the family.
"I am happy and relieved to finally have closure. My family and I can begin the healing process in what has been an emotional roller coaster," said Battles via email to the newspaper. "I no longer have to worry about my granddaughter's safety."
"I would like to thank the U.S. Marshals and the Tallahassee Police department. They worked tirelessly to bring justice to my family," she continued. "I would also like to thank my family and friends for keeping me sane in the midst of it all."
Reps for T-Pain had no comment on the matter.
