After dropping his debut album, The Chiefearlier this year, Jidenna is back with his second project of the year.

On Friday (Nov. 11), the rapper dropped his new EP, Boomerang. The six-track project includes features from Tiwa Savage, Maleek Berry, Quavo, Sarkodie, Burna Boy, Wale and Dot Cromwell. The EP also includes a remix of Jidenna's hit song, "Little Bit More."

This EP follows an upbeat performance by the singer/rapper on NPR's popular Tiny Desk Concert series, where he performed three songs from his album The Chief. The album is a tribute to his father, a Nigerian chief.

That same month, Jidenna showed his support for athletes protesting police violence against black citizens by kneeling during the National Anthem.

"You know you done fucked up right," he said in a video. "You don't pick the blackest-ass fucking sports. You don't pick NFL and NBA. You should've picked hockey or golf. You can't start a war with people. The athletes of today are wiser than ever, they're stronger than ever, they make more money than ever and you gonna go after us?"

Clearly, Jidenna isn't afraid to use his voice. Take a listen to it via Boomerang below.
