Sneaker of The Week: adidas Borrows Inspiration From YEEZY

Kanye West and adidas are truly a match made in heaven, and while his releases have been increasingly hard to snag, they are doing their best to make it easier on everyone.

For instance, the Kanye Desert Rat 500 that recently released is only available as a part of a $760 bundle. So, how do the two remedy this? Well, rumor has it that adidas has put together a more affordable model inspired by the release, which is our Sneaker of The Week.

The as-of-yet unnamed adidas model borrows elements from both the Wave Runner 700 and the Desert Rat 500 but with a more streamlined feel. In carving away some of the shoe’s heft they also ad a bit of adidas branding to the mix as well to help differentiate the release. This allows the suede and mesh model to assume a bit of it’s own personality displayed over the course of two colorways.

The rumor mill is saying that these will release sometime in 2018 and retail for about $130 a pop, which is about half the price of the Desert Rat 500 and Wave Runner 700.
