Salaam Remi is a staple in the hip-hop and R&B community as he's worked with and produced hits for the likes of Nas, Amy Winehouse, and the Fugees. But on 'One: In The Chamber,' Remi's stepping out on his own. Sort of.

This album is Remi's first as a solo artist and it finds him working with a slew of artists in his wheelhouse. They include Akon, Jordin Sparks, Ne-Yo, Estelle, and Corinne Bailey Rae, among others. It's actually Rae who appears one on of the record's finest moments, the serene 'Makin' It Hard For Me.'

All that being said, this is not what you could call a predictable album. Case in point: Dude got Stephen Marley to sing on a cover of the Beatles' 'Eleanor Rigby.' There are also some great instrumental arrangements on here such as 'Dah Dah Daht Dah,' which you'll be humming for the rest of the day.

You can stream the album below. It drops tomorrow, Oct. 1.
