Seven years have passed since Collie Buddz gained national attention with his bud-loving reggae tune 'Come Around.' While he's been touring the world after the release of his self-titled debut album and 2011's 'Playback' EP, new music from the crooner has been scarce. Today, the New Orleans-born, Bermuda-raised entertainer shares some big news: he's signed a deal with lauded producer Salaam Remi.

Collie joins Remi's Louder Than Life imprint, a label partnered with RED Associated Labels (RAL) through Sony Music. The reggae star was initially signed to Columbia Records, which released his first album.

To celebrate his new label deal, Collie delivers the visuals for 'Light It Up,' shot in Las Vegas. In the clip, Collie and his boy hit the Vegas strip to gamble, take in the sights of showgirls and let loose at a massive penthouse party. "I feel like I'm the f---in' king of the world tonight / Let's light it up," he sings.

The pop-friendly track is a bit of a departure from Collie's heavy reggae roots. As he crafts the follow-up to his 2007 LP with Remi, chances are the effort will feature songs with a similar sound.

Remi's first project through Louder Than Life was the Grammy-nominated 'New York: A Love Story' album by singer Mack Wilds.
