Safaree Samuels Admits Meek Mill Was Main Reason for Nicki Minaj Break Up [WATCH]
Safaree Samuels stopped by Rap-Up recently and talked about his role on Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood, as well his former relationship with Nicki Minaj.
During the newly released interview, the "Burner" rapper said that he dropped the lawsuit against Nicki, which he filed earlier this year. If you remember, Safaree claimed that he penned a lot of his ex's rhymes, and he wanted to be compensated.
"I dropped everything," he admitted. "I had started a process, and then I just was like 'You know what? It is what it is. If you want to deal with it like that, go ahead. I ain't tripping.' I'm doing a lot, and I don't want to be having to deal with depositions and courts and all of that."
Afterward, Samuels said if the tables were turned, and he was accused of writing Minja's lyrics, he would have done things differently and gave her money. At least that what it seems like he was trying to convey.
"Ain't nobody threaten me. Ain't nobody make me do it," he stated. "At the end of the day, I didn't even want to do it. I just know if it was me and the shoe was on the other foot, I would have handled it and said 'Yo, peace out. Here. Do what you gotta do. That's it.'"
In another part of the interview, SB Stunts talked about The Game's current beef with Meek Mill, and he also addressed the Compton spitter's diss track "Pest Control."
In the much-talked-about song, The Game accused Meek of snitching on Safaree and informing Nicki about his cheating and sexual escapades, which the Love & Hip-Hop star replied to on Instagram.
"I'm just saying, I just meant, like, [Meek Mill] definitely was a big part as to why me and Nicki broke up," said Samuels in the Rap-Up interview. "So that's why I said that."
