Many artists have written about their love for New York City, and now it's RZA's turn.

'NY Anthem' combines RZA's hip-hop skills with alt-rock band Faulkner. The Wu-Tang Clan rapper and Faulkner co-wrote and produced the track together in Rick Rubin’s Shangri La Studio in Malibu, Calif. Although the actual recording and production didn't take place in the Big Apple, the lyrics pay homage to the city.

"We protect what we respect and power / Stream the world is ours off the Freedom Tower/ Seven days a week my city never sleeps / And on New Year's Eve we dance in the streets," RZA delivers on the mid-tempo rock melody.

What really makes this a love letter to the city that never sleeps is the music video. The black-and-white clip details how the song came to fruition as well as uses micro drone technology from 3D Robotics to take breathtaking aerial shots of New York City.

This isn't the first time Faulkner has worked with RZA. They join Wu-Tang on the 20th anniversary album, 'A Better Tomorrow.'
