‘80s One-Hit Wonder Rockwell Arrested for Fighting Housekeeper [VIDEO]
File this under “Where Are They Now?”: ‘80 R&B singer Rockwell - yes of “Somebody’s Watching Me” fame - was arrested for allegedly fighting with his housekeeper on Thursday (May 25).
According to TMZ, Rockwell, whose father is legendary Motown Records founder Berry Gordy, Jr., was upset that his lunch arrived a little too late for him. Apparently, Rockwell got angry because the housekeeper was too slow with preparing his sandwich.
Law enforcement sources tell the gossip website that his housekeeper wanted to make a citizen's arrest on him for the alleged assault. In the video above, you can see Rockwell being escorted out of his Venice, Calif., home in handcuffs. The person capturing the incident seems happy about his arrest.
Rockwell has been booked on misdemeanor battery; there’s no word if he’s been released on his own recognizance.
My how the mighty have fallen. And we are still scratching our heads at Rockwell having a housekeeper. But hey, it’s none of our business. We hope he resolves this issue amicably with his maid.
For those of you who are still not familiar with Rockwell, we provided his music video below to refresh your memory. By the way, that's Michael Jackson singing on the hook and Jermaine Jackson singing backup.
