Rihanna Releases ‘Anti’ for Free on TIDAL
ANTI is here. Rihanna's long-awaited eighth studio album was released last night (Jan. 28) at midnight.
Nearly twelve hours after RiRi dropped the LP's first single "Work," rumors spread that the album would be released. And luckily for the "Rihanna Navy," the rumors proved to be true.
The album dropped exclusively through TIDAL but lucky fans were able to snag a free copy of it with a code provided through Samsung; the technology company spent $25 million on a marketing campaign for the album. Similar to her previous albums, the 13-track LP blends R&B, hip-hop, pop and reggae. After the album dropped, the songbird's "Kiss it Better" immediately started trending and seems to be the fan favorite.
"You guys legit made me the happiest girl in the world!!" tweeted Rihanna. "I'm so grateful that you appreciate the #ANTI album! It's the most rewarding feeling."
This is Rihanna's first album in three years since Unapologetic and she's not stopping at 13 tracks.
The Bajan singer has three more songs on the way. On Jan. 29, a 16-track deluxe version will be available. But for now, fans can download Rihanna's "gift to my navy" with the code: ANTI. TIDAL is also allowing fans to stream the album for one week.
