The Grammys are historically known for bringing together interesting musical combinations. One of the most unique trios to hit the stage Sunday (Feb. 8) was Rihanna along with Kanye West and the Beatles' Paul McCartney for their country-esque ballad 'FourFiveSeconds.'

Rocking matching black suits, the three performed on a minimalist stage with McCartney on guitar. Rihanna traded her pink party gown, which she graced the red carpet with, and opted for a sleeker look with a slicked-back hairstyle.

"Now I'm four five seconds from wildin' / And we got three more days 'til Friday / I'm just tryna make it back home by Monday, mornin' / I swear I wish somebody would tell me / Ooh thats all I want," she sings.

Amid the star power onstage, it was the Bajan beauty's voice that stole the show. Her pipes were markedly stronger than fans have heard from her onstage before.

"Most I've ever seen Rihanna sing during a Rihanna performance," tweeted writer Jon Caramanica of the New York Times. Digital media analyst Tara Conley added, "Rihanna's tone is lovely. That her voice is stronger now is a very good look for her. She's been practicing, growing as an artist should."
