Finally, Rihanna gets some press for something that doesn't involve her infamous ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. The "Diamonds" songstress is one of the many A-listers who has responded to the recent devastation from Hurricane Sandy with generosity and compassion.

The singer decided to hold a listening party last Friday (Nov. 9) for her new album Unapologetic that is due out later this month. But when she showed up to the 40/40 club herself to deliver goods and supplies to the Daily News' hurricane relief effort, the crowd went crazy for Ri Ri's philanthropy.

According to the Daily News, the crowd started chanting her name when she appeared at Jay-Z's famous club.

"I'm so excited. I didn't know all these people were coming, but it's all for a good cause," Rihanna tells the magazine. The chanteuse hugged stunned fans and posed for pictures in the Manhattan club.

Many musicians are doing their part to raise awareness and aid. Christina Aguilera, Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel performed for a telethon to raise funds for Hurricane relief and native New Yorker Lady Gaga also showed her support through a series of tweets and a Red Cross donation.
