Rihanna Taps Emeli Sande for New Song on ‘Unapologetic’ Album

Rihanna fans, did you even see this one coming? The 24-year-old global pop star chose to work with one stellar songwriter when crafting her forthcoming Unapologetic album: Emeli Sande. The Scottish-born, U.K. native joined forces with the the Bajan songstress to pen a track that will be featured on the new LP.

Sande, who also assisted Alicia Keys in writing "Not Even a King," off of her upcoming Girl on Fire album, gave a few details on Rihanna's new song during a red carpet run at the MOBO Awards last week.

"I love it," the Our Version of Events creator said of the project. "I love the lyrics. I can't wait to hear what she's done with it."

She was rather tight-lipped on the song's subject matter but the secrecy can only mean it'll be worth the wait. Eager listeners can hear the Rihanna-Emeli Sande collaboration when Unapologetic arrives Nov. 19.
