Rihanna is expanding her reach in the fashion industry with her new design gig. The R&B superstar has been appointed Creative Director for Stance, a popular sock company.

This is a good move for RiRi since she is also the Creative Director of Puma. What better way to show off her upcoming sneaker collaboration than with some cool socks.

According to Women's Wear Daily, Rihanna's three-year deal will consist of designing socks for Stance as well as becoming the company’s brand ambassador under the “Punks and Poets” team. While her first full collection for Stance won’t hit stores until fall, the "Bitch Better Have My Money" singer releases two limited-edition styles on Stance.com today (July 15).

The Murder Rih Wrote collection features crew socks for men at $30 and an over-the-knee style for women, which sells for $26. Both are made of combed cotton with hits of red, white and black newsprint typography and vintage movie art. Rihanna's personal branding of "Bad Gal" is all over the sock as well.

“I’ve had a great relationship with Stance for a long time and ‎I am happy to be working with them on such a fun and creative project,” said Rihanna.

Stance, which is the official sock company for the NBA, is planning a huge digital rollout for Rihanna’s fall collection, which arrives in November. The capsule will consist of 18 styles and will retail between $18 to $28.

“There are very few women in fashion whose personal style can go from street to couture in a blink,” said Candy Harris, senior vice president of Stance’s women’s division. “She does it with such credibility and authenticity. It makes her an original.”

True indeed.
