In the saga of Chris Brown and Rihanna's on-and-off-again relationship, it's clear that a true "end" isn't coming anytime soon.

Ri Ri appears on the cover of April issue of ELLE UK, which hits newsstands March 6, and opened up about her "fresh start" and friendship with Brown.

"Now that we're adults we can do this right," Rihanna tells the mag via Gossip Cop. "We got a fresh start and we're thankful for that ... Right now, that's just what we want, a great friendship, that's unbreakable."

Of her love with Brown, she says, "You don't have that feeling with everybody so when you have it, you don't want to let go of it. I would definitely say he is the one I have that kind of relationship with."

Following the 2009 incident with Brown, Rihanna got a tattoo of a gun on her rib cage, and she was asked by the mag what that symbol meant to her.

"Everybody wanted to know what was happening in my life," she explains. "Is she a drug addict? No. Is she an alcoholic? No. Is she a victim? No. That's why I got the gun. It was a symbol of strength. I'll never be a victim."

Rihanna doesn't seem to be harping on the past. In the interview, she talks about her hopes for the future, including in the next five years.

"I will probably have a kid," she shares.
