Riff Raff and Katy Perry's Awkward Moments at 2014 MTV Video Music Awards

Arguably, RiFF RAFF and Katy Perry were two of the worst dressed celebrities at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (Aug. 24). The duo recreated the infamous denim look worn by Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake at the 2001 VMAs. As one would expect, they looked ridiculous.

On top of that, RAFF and Perry didn't look too comfortable sitting together as they were watching the VMAs. There were a few awkward moments of the pair caught on video.

In one clip, Perry is about to get up to receive her Best Female Video award for 'Dark Horse.' She has to push the rapper back with her hand as he appears to get up to receive the award with the singer. Instead, she goes and grabbs Juicy J, who appears on the single and in the video, to walk onstage with her.

There's another clip in which RiFF RAFF tries to cop a feel while Perry's dancing and he's quickly shut down. Plus, to add insult to an otherwise strange date, Perry was flirting with crooner Sam Smith who was sitting next to her.

As to why these two people decided to attend the VMAs dressed like uncoordinated hillbillies is anyone's guess. Coincidentally, the duo's new single, the 'This Is How We Do’ remix, is available on iTunes, which might explain their coupling.
