Rakim is showing off one of his lesser known talents -- DJing.

"The R" is seen getting on the ones and twos in a video from East New York Entertainment. The nine-minute clip shows Ra mixing and scratching tunes. At first, he performs a tribute to the late Jam Master Jay with Run-D.M.C.’s “Peter Piper." Bystanders looked on in awe as he ventured into his set.

One of the onlookers included DJ Hurricane, famed JMJ associate and former deejay for the Beastie Boys. "He just went from the God MC to the God DJ," said Hurricane after the Long Island native wowed the room.

Others also put in their two cents. "Listen man, I love Ra but he ain't gotta out rap me and out DJ me too," said one of the lucky few; while another simply called it "real crazy."

This isn't the first time that Ra got on the turntables. he also showed off his skills at the Rock The Bells festival in 2010 as well as during a few live shows. New York fans may get to join the select few who have seen Rakim on the mic and behind the turntables as he's set to take the stage this summer perform the entire Paid in Full album.

As Ambrosia For Heads put it -- "Rakim may be the God MC but he’s a devil on the turntables." We hear that. Check out how Rakim gets wicked on the ones and twos in the video above.
