Rapper R.A. the Rugged Man is known for telling deep personal stories about his family and childhood upbringing. In his new video for 'Still Get Through the Day,' the veteran rhyme-spitter brings his words to life in a very emotional and heart-wrenching way.

Directed by Douglas Quill, the clip details R.A.’s siblings and their personal struggles, including his sister and brother who were both mentally handicapped.

The video also features home movie footage of R.A.’s family in much happier times, as he offers words of encouragement for people who are contemplating suicide.

"Got cha finger on the trigger, don’t do it / Contemplating suicide / Just put the gun down / We all been through it," he raps.

Although R.A.’s video is quite depressing, it’s a great reminder for us to be grateful for what we have and to never take life for granted.

'Still Get Through the Day' appears on R.A.'s latest album, 'Legends Never Die.'
