QuestloveRoots drummer Questlove took a few minutes backstage at 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' on Monday (Mar. 1) to make a special announcement about this year's 3rd Annual Roots Picnic.

The legendary Roots crew were celebrating their one year anniversary performing on the late night talk show when Quest took the opportunity to give fans some details on the upcoming festival, which has officially been scheduled for Saturday, June 5. The event is set to take place at Philadelphia's festival pier, Penn's Landing, with a lineup that includes The Clipse, Vampire Weekend, Das Racist, and even Sierra Leone-based group, Baja and the Dry Eye Crew.

Quest told fans to expect some side projects from the Roots, including a performance by Black Thought's proteges the Money Making Jam Boys and a turntable-drumset harmonizing session between DJ Jazzy Jeff and himself. He got all of this out of the way before announcing -- or hinting -- the big news that Run-DMC would give a reunion performance at the show. "If you were at the festival last year, you will notice that the Roots lived out their fantasy of doing the classic 'It Takes a Nation of Millions' album with Public Enemy. Are we going to top that? We are absolutely going to top that," he said, before going on to drop a major hint. "This is a reunion we thought we would never get. We've been waiting to make this reunion happen for the longest, it's so incredible, I don't even want to tell you who it is. But, this is all I'm gonna say," he said, before throwing on a thick hold chain, black hat and striking a pose. "This should say it all. This is one show you don't want to miss."

Quest encouraged fans to go out and cop tickets for what promises to be a legendary show, this Friday, March 5 at 10AM EST on LiveNation.com.
