Prince fans lucky enough to witness first hand the late music icon’s Paisley Park estate - now a museum - on Thursday (Oct. 6) were in shock to learn that the Purple One’s ashes are kept in a luxurious urn for display.

According to reports, visitors on the tour were surprised to see the urn in the studio where Prince recorded all of his hit songs. "We thought, 'Wow, Prince is here.' It just got silent. People were standing around. Some had tears in their eyes. I wasn't expecting that," a fan told The Guardian.

In a press release (via Minneapolis' The Current), Foreverence, a company that designs custom burial urns for celebrities, revealed that Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson, and her nephew, help designed the urn which is made out of ceramic and glass. "Tyka Nelson hand‐selected seven iridescent crystals – representing the artist’s favorite number – to be part of the urn design and placed the final jewel in the piece herself,” the statement reads.

The urn is designed to resemble a miniature version of Paisley Park, and features signature Prince details, like his purple Yamaha piano and white doves.

The Paisley Park museum received temporary permits for scheduled tour visits on Saturday and Friday, October 14. Fans with tickets purchased for Oct. 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15 are awaiting notice for further accommodations.
