Prince ‘Purple Rain’ Handwritten Notes and Other Memorabilia Up for Auction
Nearly 200 Prince-related items are up for bid via RR Auction. Among the memorabilia up for auction are handwritten lyrics for Purple Rain songs, yellow boots worn by the artist, a tambourine and more.
According to a report from TMZ, the boots are expected to go for $12,000, while handwritten lyrics for "The Ladder" are expected to fetch $8,000. Also up for bidding is Prince's all-access pass from Rick James' 1980 tour. The pass is expected to sell for $800.
Prince passed away on April 21, 2016 after what was ruled an accidental overdose of fentanyl. The musician was 57 years-old. Since his death, one posthumous album has been released -- the greatest hits compilation 4Ever.
