President Obama Gets Hyped for His DNC Speech With Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ [VIDEO]
We all know that President Barack Obama is a hip-hop fan but who knew that he listens to Eminem on the regular? To get him motivated for his big speech at the Democratic National Convention last month in Philadelphia, POTUS need some hype music. His song of choice? Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.”
A video has surfaced of some of the backstage antics that happened during the DNC where Hillary Clinton accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for the presidency. While they were plenty of heartwarming moments in the visual, one part that stood out was President Obama bopping his head along to Eminem’s Oscar-winning song.
You can seen Obama getting amped as before he hits the stage as Slim Shady's lyrics ring out, “Snap back to reality, oh there goes gravity." His aides seemed amused by it as well.
In another segment, the president chats with former president Bill Clinton and apologizes for saying that Hillary Clinton was more qualified than either of them, saying that he hopes Bill wasn’t offended by the remark.
“I loved it. You kidding? I was up there laughing and clapping,” Bill Clinton replied.
Finally, we get to see Obama officially endorse Hillary as they embrace together on the stage amid cheering fans. “All right, let’s go win an election. Let’s do that," Obama tells Hillary backstage.
