Oprah Winfrey, one of the most powerful women in the world, is weighing in on T.I.'s sexist remarks about women being too emotional to be president of the U.S.

“Nobody said that in this day and age,” the media mogul said in disbelief when a TMZ reporter informed her of the rapper's statement as she walked out of CBS in New York City.

But indeed the Atlanta native did. On Tuesday (Oct. 13), Tip went on DJ Whoo Kid’s Shade 45 show, The Whoolywood Shuffle, and explained that he won't be voting for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election since she's a woman.

“Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president? It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally -- they make very permanent, cemented decisions -- and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen,” Tip said. “And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke. [Other leaders] will not be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy; the world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to get the Lochness Monster elected before you could [get a woman].”

Although Oprah didn't hear the exact quote -- it wouldn't have made much of a difference in her response -- she had a few choice words for the Paperwork creator. "I want to say, ‘Honey child, hush your mouth. You don’t know what you’re talking about,'" she said.

After a heap of backlash, T.I. apologized for his statement on Twitter but many, including Oprah, don't believe it.

"I don’t buy it, you know, it’s not true. I think people just like to talk,” she said of his subsequent apology.

T.I.'s wife, Tiny, also weighed in on her husband's comment. “He just lives in the old ‘man takes care of woman,’ chivalry-type-thing,” she said. “He might’ve been thinking about me at the time.”
