OG Maco’s XXL Freshman Freestyle Speaks to the ‘Children of the Rage’

Yep, you guessed it! OG Maco is up next in the XXL Freshman Freestyle cypher. The Atlanta native is the hottest rapper in the game right now thanks to his street banger, “U Guessed It.”

An artist on Quality Control, home to fellow ATL rappers Migos, Maco brings his energetic charisma to rap with his out-of-control anthems like “How We Planned It” and “Handle Me.”

The 22-year-old rapper is currently signed to Motown/Capitol Records and is currently working on his debut album tentatively titled Children of the Rage.

In his freestyle, OG Maco describes who are the children of the rage. "We the children of the if you ain't got it, you better have a full clip, 30 clip, 15 clip, 16 clip, movie clip, YouTube clip, WorldStar clip / I'm a world star / I got a world star clique / We are the children of that s---, too," he spits.

Aside from his appearance in the 2015 XXL Freshman Class issue, OG Maco is focused on completing his new album, which is still a work in progress.

“[Right now] if it doesn’t have anything to do with the album then I don’t care. I got songs for the album already on my phone right now, I just got ’em,” he tells XXL. “Can’t wait to hear ’em. The EPs and mixtapes are like a glimpse into whatever side of you that you want to bring out. And so the album is all of those me’s as one human being, you know? [It’s] a consistent flow with everything that goes into making that, all these life experiences which taught you what to appreciate and what to not give a f--- about, and now you get to carry it over to the people. And it’s something that they know matters to you.”
