Despite his arrest a day prior to his show, Nipsey Hussle performed as scheduled at the Los Angeles edition of the Budweiser Made in America festival on Sunday (Aug. 31).

On Saturday (Aug. 30), the 'Crenshaw' rhymer was taken into custody during a police raid at a clothing store that he owns. Apparently, Hussle was allegedly interfering with officers as they were arresting a parole violator.

LAPD Lt. Julius Guay said the rapper was "booked on charges of obstructing an investigation."

Hussle posted $13,000 bond and was released on his own recognizance. His management team also issued a statement regarding the arrest:

“Around midnight last night Nipsey Hussle was detained in an unsolicited random police probe near the flagship Marathon Clothing Store on Crenshaw Blvd. Police detained him and several other patrons while picking up food at a local restaurant. He was released Saturday morning with no charge. He will be performing live on the Made In America festival as scheduled on Sunday. Nipsey feels like his detainment was unjust and without cause.”

At the show, Hussle was dressed in all-white including a Versace dress shirt, which he later removed, and gold chains. He made no mentioned of his arrest during his set.

Other artists who graced the Made in America concert stage included Rita Ora, Chance the Rapper and DJ Steve Aoki.

Kanye West closed out the two-day festival with an energetic performance of a similar set that he performed in Philadelphia the night before.

As usual with his stage shows, Yeezy went on another rant explaining why he makes music for the public and not for the critics.

"I'm not out here trying to hurt nobody, I'm out here trying to make this motherfucking music and be creative," he told the crowd (quotes courtesy of Complex). "I'm not going to allow anybody to come up and try to hurt me, not physically, not verbally, and not perception-wise. They got a voice, and I got a voice, too."
