Nicki Minaj has over 8 million Twitter followers and the number increases daily as the Young Money rhymer interacts with her fans, sharing her humor and revealing details about her sophomore LP, 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,' due Feb. 14. Now Minaj is landing at the top of a coveted list surrounding the social network: Most Followed Hip-Hop Artist.

The Queens native scored the honor as of Jan. 4, when she beat the amount of followers held by Eminem, who previously owned Twitter's Most Followed Hip-Hop Artist title, according to KarenCivil.com.

Currently, the 'Super Bass' rapper has 8,267,915 followers while Mr. Marshall Mathers lays claim to 8,247,375. Em falls short of 20,000 fans compared to Minaj's numbers. Recently, in an effort to keep her fans up-to-date on her music and accomplishments, she relaunched her Pink Friday iPhone app and created a new one for Android users, which could have lead more users to follow the star on Twitter since she features an option to interact with her on the social network.

Next month, the wig-wearing MC will debut her follow-up to 2010's 'Pink Friday.' The 29-year-old entertainer previously released her first single off 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,' 'Roman in Moscow.' The track features Nicki rapping as her alter ego Roman.
