‘Nicki Minaj: The Empire’ Mobile Game Is Coming Soon

Nicki Minaj's mobile game,“Nicki Minaj: The Empire," is slated to be released on Dec. 8.

It was announced back in 2015 that the rap star would be getting her own mobile game, much like Kim Kardashian's wildly popular “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” game. However, Nicki's game will be focused on building an empire as a rapper and entrepreneur.

“Nicki brings to Glu her audience of over 100 million social followers and a new music category,” Glu Mobile CEO Niccolo de Masi said in a press release from 2015. “We look forward to combining Nicki’s distinctive style and massive global appeal with Glu’s celebrity social gaming expertise.”

Nicki shared her excitement about the upcoming release on Instagram.

“This year for my birthday I’m giving my fans the most incredible gift ever,” she wrote. “#NickiMinajTheEMPIRE – in just one week [Dec. 8th] you’ll get to create your own Rap Empire where you can record yourself rapping on the same track as me.”

Nicki Minaj recently excited fans when she dropped her "Black Barbies Freestyle" on iTunes earlier this week. With this latest announcement, she's clearly looking to close 2016 out on top.
