Nicki Minaj Talks Sophomore Album, Details Mystery Guest

With the success of her debut album 'Pink Friday,' still going strong, Nicki Minaj is now dropping details on her forthcoming effort.

The Young Money leading lady, who is currently on tour with her label mate Lil Wayne, is simultaneously focusing on her new project. "I slowed down because I been rehearsing," she told MTV. "I couldn't do a lot of stuff. There's things that are pending that I have to turn in.

"I had to hand in a 'Carter IV' verse. I handed in a verse to Birdman, and I handed in a verse to a very special lady that I think is gonna kinda rock people's world a little bit," she continued. "I love keeping secrets. That [last] one is gonna rock some boats."

In between touring, Minaj, is set to drop her latest videos for the tracks 'Super Bass,' and 'Fly,' featuring Rihanna. "I'm obviously working on the follow-up to 'Pink Friday,'" she quipped, refusing to drop details on the release date for fear that other artists might copy her. "I can give you an idea, but I don't want to. I'd rather not right now. Because then everybody is gonna jump on the bandwagon and say they're putting out their album the same day."

Ironically, the Queen's native dropped her last album on the same day as Kanye West, late last year. Despite facing off against the veteran rapper, Minaj fared well, selling 375,000 copies landing her the No. 2 spot on the Billboard album charts, just behind West. The album has gone on to sell over 1.2 million records to date.
