New York fans got a sneak peak of Nicki Minaj's The Pinkprint Tour at a free show for Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series Friday morning (July 24).

The rapper performed the self-assuring track, "Feeling Myself" and the club hit "The Night Is Still Young" in New York City's Central Park while screaming fans cheered her on. Dressed in a black, nearly nude ensemble, Minaj hit the stage with four back-up dancers to match. "Don't let anybody steal your joy," shouted the rapper while nearing the end of her set.

The Queens native also took some time to address the recent controversy surrounding Taylor Swift and the MTV Video Music Awards. Minaj said that she spoke with Swift during a phone conversation. "First of all, I spoke with Taylor Swift yesterday on the phone. She was super, super sweet. She apologized. She said, 'You know, look I didn't understand the big picture of what you were saying but now I get it." But we're all good," Nicki revealed.

She went on to explain why she went on a Twitter rant regarding the MTV VMAs in the first place. “'Anaconda' had such a huge cultural impact, and on top of that, we broke the Vevo record. So this is actually my third time breaking the Vevo record, and 'Anaconda' therefore should have been nominated," she stated. "I do think that if it was one of the pop girls, they would have had many nominations for it. I think I got two nominations for Anaconda: for [Best Female Video] and for [Best Hip-Hop Video] but it should’ve been for the [Video of the Year]."

Minaj is set to perform at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on July 26 with her boo Meek Mill, Rae Sremmurd, Tinashe and Dej Loaf.
