Nicki Minaj Meets Her Idol Lauryn Hill, Twerks at Tidal X Show [VIDEO]

Nicki Minaj was among the headliners at the 2016 Tidal X: 1015 charity concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Saturday night (Oct. 15). Before the Queen Barbz hit the stage she had the pleasure of meeting her idol Ms. Lauryn Hill. And it was captured on video.

In the clip above, you can see Minaj getting on her knees and bowing to Hill. She practically in tears as she praises the former Fugees member. “I’m in love with you,” she tells Hill. “I’m in love with your spirit, your mind, everything about you.”

Later, the Queen Barbz and L-Boogie took pictures together. “YIKEEESSSSSSS ms Lauryn hill was so ahead of her time (and still is). Queen. Epic. The bar. The truth. The best. The greatest. The light," she later wrote praising Hill. "God pls bless her for what she gave to us all. The miseducation of Onika.”

Meanwhile, during her concert performance, Minaj decided to give fans a twerking session while playing "Trap Queen" before bringing out Fetty Wap. Unfortunately, folks watching it online via live stream weren't impressed with her twerking skills and voiced their disappointment on Twitter.

"Nicki Minaj really gotta stop twerking. Wow. She's so bad at it lol and that fake bubble butt don't make it no better," wrote one fan.
