Nicki Minaj Blasts FYE for Chaotic Album Signing, Praises Best Buy
Nicki Minaj caused a scene at an f.y.e. in-store signing of her newly released sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in Philadelphia on Wednesday (April 4). The Queens-bred rapper had some scathing words for the store, after the event wrapped up.
Rocking a long platinum blonde wig, her signature pink lipstick and a black blazer, Nicki entered the signing with a police escort, but unfortunately, the signing turned into "pandemonium," when many of the Barbz were unable to grab an autograph from the Young Money star, due to a "maybe wrist band" system, which Nicki called into question.
"FYE absolutely shld NOT give "maybe wrist bands". BestBuy Never![sic]" the irate MC tweeted. "Whenever I do Best Buy signings there are an EXACT amount of wristbands. I'd never approve of giving 400 'maybes' to get ppl's hopes up."
Despite the snafu, Nicki still managed to find a silver lining in the event.
"To the people I DID get to meet tonite, you were absolutely incredible. So glad I got footage of you guys. The love was at an all time high," she concluded.
Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is expected to debut at No. 1, with first-week sales of between 200-225,000 copies, according to HITS Daily Double.
