After an amazing year led by the Oscar-nominated song 'Happy,' Pharrell is kicking off 2015 with a new kid-friendly jam, ‘Squeeze Me.’ Only this time, he’s teaming up with his N.E.R.D. click.

Skateboard P, Chad Hugo and Shae Haley of N.E.R.D. are officially back with new music after a five-year hiatus. Their recent collaboration -- one of three to debut in the coming weeks -- appears in the forthcoming film, ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.’

‘Squeeze Me,' with its funky horn and drum-infused beat, finds Pharrell singing (“Squeeze me till I pop, squeeze me till I drop”) and Shae delivering a little hip-hop flavor of his own.

The N.E.R.D. reunion was long overdue and Pharrell couldn’t be happier, especially since the songs they're creating serve as the soundtrack to one of his favorite cartoons, ‘SpongeBob SquarePants.’ “We loved going to the studio to make music for this film,” he says. “I am one of SpongeBob’s biggest fans -- can’t wait for everyone to hear the songs.”

“It was a complete honor to be a part of this project," adds Shae. "SpongeBob and N.E.R.D. share the same belief that imagination is the key to everything."

N.E.R.D. have two other songs, ‘Patrick Star’ and ‘Sandy Squirrel,’ they crafted for the film. 'The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water' hits theaters on Feb. 6.
