Singer-guitarist Joe Fox may not be a household name but you may have heard his of voice. Initially discovered by A$AP Rocky, the Londoner is featured heavily on the Harlem rapper’s second LP, At.Long.Last.A$AP. Now on his solo run, Fox is back with a remix of his latest single “What’s the Word” featuring a verse from legendary rapper Nas.

"I met Nas at a GQ magazine party with A$AP Rocky two years ago, when he was playing with Questlove, Fox shared with Pitchfork. "And now here we are! Amazing to have him do a verse on one of my songs!!"

Over a soulful groove with blaring horns and twangy guitars, Nas drops a stream-of-consciousness flow asking life's many questions. "Yo, what's your goals? / What's the price of your soul? / Perfections, imperfections, what a life to behold / No textin' on intersections, keep your eyes on the road / Don't be caught in the fast lane driving slow," he raps. He later adds, "We celebrate our killers, lovin' they rep / And not enough graduates get respect / I know it's real, it's crazy out here, not safe / Yo, the draco will clear the block, who's the op? / Why all the hate, y'all?"

Nas is currently co-headlining with Lauryn Hill on their PowerNomics Tour with Hannibal Buress and Chronixx. Dave Chappelle and Nick Grant have been added on a few dates. To check out the tour's full itinerary, click here.
