The 2013 VMAs is a series of firsts for MTV. Not only will the annual awards show broadcast live from Brooklyn's Barclays Center for the first time on August 25, complete with a new look Moonman, but the nominees were revealed through cutesy Instagram videos.

To no surprise, Justin Timberlake and Macklemore lead the pack with six nominations each. Bruno Mars is in a close second with four nods, while P!nk, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus and 30 Seconds To Mars each boast three nominations.

Other than Macklemore, Kendrick Lamar and Drake are the highest-ranking hip-hop acts with just two nods apiece. Snoop Lion, J. Cole, A$AP Rocky and Iggy Azalea all pick up a single nomination, too.
