Major Lazer is back with an island-flavored jam that will have you wishing you were vacationing in Jamaica. The infectious “Run Up” features PARTYNEXTDOOR and Nicki Minaj and is from the group’s upcoming album, Music Is a Weapon.

Over a dancehall-inspired rhythm, PND relays affectionate lyrics to his ladylove. “You ain't gotta wait for it / You ain't gotta wait for me to give you my love / You ain't gotta wait for it / Things are gettin' sticky, girl I think that I'm stuck,” he sings.

Nicki comes in later and spits her verse in a Caribbean flow and reveals that she’s about to “drop an album.”

“Yo, I told 'em pull up on me faster than Danica / That's on the low I'm tryna blow him like harmonicas / He call me queen, he know 'Nicki' is the moniker / He want a mix between Hillary and Monica,” she raps.

Much like Major Lazer’s previous tunes like “Lean On” and “Cold Water,” their latest Caribbean-influenced banger is destined to be another chart-topper for the group. The production trio shot a video for "Run Up” in Trinidad & Tobago in late December so expect the visual to come out very soon.
