Logic’s ‘Everybody’ Album Goes Gold
Having only been out for a little over three months, Logic’s third studio album, Everybody, has officially been certified gold, surpassing the 500,000 sales mark. The feat was celebrated by the RIAA on Twitter, where the official account wrote, “Congratulations @Logic301. #Everybody is a Gold Album in less than two months, and ALL of your studio albums are certified.”
Everybody joins Logic’s two previous albums -- Under Pressure and The Incredible True Story -- as gold albums. The rapper’s third album was also his most successful on the charts, debuting at No. 1 on various Billboard charts. The project also spawned two successful singles for Logic, as the songs “Everybody” and “1-800-273-8255” were both certified gold.
On his latest album, Logic said he wanted to rap about stories that others couldn’t.
“I wanted to tell the stories of other people who may not have the voice I do,” he told Billboard. “I felt the necessity to discuss these things, because I am proud to be me, I am proud of where I come from, and at the same time, it’s also bigger than me.”
