Lecrae always delivers words of encouragement in his songs. His latest single, "Blessings” (featuring Ty Dolla $ign) was a chart-topping smash that was full of upliftment and gratitude within the lyrics. On Friday (June 9), the Reach Records founder released a new song called “I’ll Find You” featuring Grammy nominee Tori Kelly.

The song features a somber piano groove which then opens up to a trap music-inspired beat and plucking guitars. The inspirational track reportedly was inspired by some of Lecrae’s love ones who are battling an undisclosed disease.

On the song, Tori Kelly sings on the chorus, "Just fight a little longer my friend / It's all worth it in the end / But when you got no one to turn to / Just hold on and I'll find you."

Lecrae then follows with his sermon, rapping, "I'm hanging on by a thread / And all I'm clinging to is prayers / And every breath is like a battle / I feel like I ain't come prepared / And deaths knockin on the front door/ Pain's creeping thru the back / Fear's crawling thru the windows/ Waiting for them to attack."

In an Instagram post, Lecrae further explained the inspiration behind his song. "Life is a precious gift. A gift we often take for granted until it is threatened," he writes. "Pain can be a haunting reminder to appreciate every waking moment. So we wrote a song to share our hope in the midst of that pain."

"We wanted to encourage them to hold on and tell them we are here waiting, hoping, praying, and fighting with them," he continues. "Some have been released from their pain forever, others are still fighting. Hold on..."
