Kendrick Lamar’s ‘The Heart Part 4′ Tops Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks Chart
Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Part 4” was undoubtedly the most talked about single of the past seven days. So much so that it skyrocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard + Twitter Top Track chart, which monitors the most shared and/or mentioned songs on Twitter in the past week. The latest tally’s tracking period ended on March 26.
“The Heart Part 4," is his new song in a series that dates back to 2010. At the end of the track, K.Dot delivers a warning, “Y'all got 'til April the 7th to get y'all s--- together,” which many believe is the possible release date for his fourth studio album. Lamar also spits lyrical darts at President Donald Trump and possibly Big Sean and Drake.
According to social media tracker Next Big Sound, the “Part 4” release and potential new album buzz boosted the Compton rhymer's Twitter mentions by 369 percent to 57,000 in the week ending March 26.
Obviously, Lamar's acidic verses to President Donald Trump ("Donald Trump is a chump, know how we feel, punk / Tell ’em that God comin’/ And Russia need a replay button, y’all up to somethin’") and possibly Big Sean ("I’ll Big Pun your punk ass you a scared lil bitch / Tip-toeing around my name n---- you lame") certainly had everyone talking on Twitter.
In addition, an alleged leaked track list of Lamar's album also had the Twitterverse in a tizzy.
Hopefully, we will get more legit information about Kendrick Lamar's album prior to its release.
