Kanye West SXSW 2012: Rapper Hits the Stage During 2 Chainz Set
Last year, Kanye West put on a spectacular SXSW performance, bringing his G.O.O.D. Music signees and Jay-Z along for the show in Austin, Texas. This year, the 'All of the Lights' creator had no top-notch set planned and fans didn't expect him to take the stage. However, the Chi-town MC surprised festival-goers when he showed up during S.O.B.s 30th Anniversary concert while 2 Chainz was commanding the crowd.
West jumped out from backstage with Big Sean, which sent those in attendance at The Belmont to scream and shout their appreciation for witnessing such a special moment. The 34-year-old assisted Sean with performing his 'Finally Famous' track 'Marvin & Chardonnay' before launching into his own hit 'Can't Tell Me Nothing,' off 2007's 'Graduation' LP.
Besides 2 Chainz, Kanye West and Big Sean, crooner Miguel, rhymers Slaughterhouse and Machine Gun Kelly and singer Elle Varner performed.
In 2011, West's SXSW show, dubbed Kanye West's VEVO Power Station, was held inside a former power plant in Austin.
