Kanye West surprised fans in Chicago with a brief appearance at Kid Cudi’s concert on Saturday night (Nov. 4). This is the first time the veteran rhymer has performed since being hospitalized last year.

Midway through the show, Cudder brought out Yeezy for a rendition of “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1 from his 2016 effort, The Life of Pablo. The receptive Chicago crowd repeated every lyric to the song while West rocked the mic. Fellow Chicagoan Chance the Rapper might have also been in the vicinity witnessing a great moment for the fans in attendance.

The performance has also sparked rumors that a Kanye West and Kid Cudi collaborative album is in the works. According to reports, the supposed album, tentatively called Everybody Wins, is due to arrive on Dec. 31.

West has been quiet on the music front for much of 2017. Aside from a few outings with his wife, Kim Kardashian, and their children, the 40-year-old rapper-producer has remained reclusive.

This may be because he and Kim are expecting their third child together through a surrogate in January 2018. The couple are expecting another baby girl.
