Kanye West Says He Won’t Be Releasing Any More CDs: ‘Only Streaming’

Kanye West is making a bold move by declaring that he'll won't be releasing any more CDs and that he'll only release music through streaming services instead.

"I was thinking about not making CDs ever again... Only streaming," read a tweet from 'Ye's page. He went on to explain that the clear CD case from 2013's Yeezus album was more than just a provocative album cover -- it was a message.

"The Yeezus album packaging was an open casket to CDs r.i.p," read Yeezy's next tweet. And if tweeters didn't get the message the first time, he solidified it with "Uuuuuuum, so there it is... No more CDs from me."

However, 'Ye's fans weren't going down without a fight. Fans who had their hearts set on adding Ye's The Life of Pablo to their physical collections quickly criticized the Chicago rhymer for the decision.

"You should still release some kind of physical media. Maybe vinyl? People still enjoy the tactile music experience," tweeted one disgruntled fan.

But to 'Ye, his new rule just means that he's progressing forward. "please avoid trying to talk me out of being me in the future," read the last tweet of his stream of thought.

That's not the only thing Yeezy is moving forward on; it seems that he might get his wish to become the creative director of Hermes since he met with some very important people from the French fashion manufacturer. "Met with @Hermes_Paris family yesterday… been out here fighting for 13 years and it feels like we’re finally seeing wins…," read a tweet from 'Ye.
