So why did Kanye West really meet with Donald Trump on Tuesday at New York City's Trump Tower? The answer is now in, at least according to E! News, and it has to do with Ye's past business moves.

Word has it that the President-elect thinks the G.O.O.D. Music boss is a strong business man and the ideal person for an "entrepreneurial leadership role," although no specifics were actually given by either party.

At the same time, TMZ reports that Kanye met with Trump to discuss ending the violence on the streets of his hometown of Chicago. In their first meeting, however, the two only had a general conversation about life and other topics but didn't get into the Windy City at all. Supposedly, that conversation will take place in their second sit-down.

During this initial meeting, Trump told the press that he and The Life of Pablo rapper have known each other for a while. "We've been friends for a long time," explained the real estate mogul. "We discussed life."

Kanye, meanwhile, kept his words to a minimum and just smiled. "I just want to take a picture right now," he told reporters.

In similar news, football legends Ray Lewis and Jim Brown also met with Trump to discuss issues affecting the African-American community.

“We couldn’t have had a better meeting,” the 80-year-old Brown said afterward. "The graciousness, the intelligence, the reception we got was fantastic.”

As for Kanye, hopefully he isn't jumping into the limelight too fast considering his recent breakdown, because if he was trying to ease his way back into the public eye, a photo op with the soon-to-be President of the United States isn't the way to do it. That's for sure.
