Kanye West Denies He Dissed Drake: ‘I Never Said That’ [VIDEO]
This past weekend, Drake appeared on OVO Sound Radio for an interview with DJ Semtex. Drizzy was very candid in his discussion about his feud with Meek Mill, his current success and his estranged relationships with Kanye West and Jay Z.
When it came to Kanye, Drake voiced disappointed in him after Kanye's rant from his now-canceled “Saint Pablo” tour. Last year, Yeezy went on a tirade complaining about how Drake and DJ Khaled’s song “For Free” was getting too much radio airplay. Kanye felt that playing the same songs repeatedly only stifles the music game.
“Is it just me or did you hear that song so many times - ‘you say you wanna play for free,"’ he reportedly said at the time. "You know what it is, though? Because I love Drake. I love Khaled. But they set that song up, bro. And let me tell you something. MTV, f--- you! Once again, as always, I’m on my Trump s--- tonight.”
For his part, Drake seems confused by West's rant but didn't dwell on it much. “I think everybody has their own little things going on, I’m not really sure what he’s referring to half the time, cause in the same breath, I went from being...like working on a project with him, to him sorta publicly s---ting on me and DJ Khaled for being on the radio too much,” he said. “But yeah I’m not really sure, everybody’s got their own thing going on.”
Recently, a paparazzo caught up with West and shouted: "Kanye, I totally agree with you. I think Drake's music is overplayed," to which the rapper-producer responded, "I never said that."
Now we don't know if West forgot that he did criticized Drake at one of his shows - he is suffering from memory loss -- or was he just responding to the cameraman's indirect comment. Either way, his relationship with Drake sounds non-existent at this point.
