Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa Get Into Twitter Beef Over ‘Waves’
Twitter is heating up. In the latest social media battle, Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa are taking aim at each other in what many are calling an inevitable clash.
Wiz was married to and had a child with Amber Rose, who famously dated Kanye West two years prior. But oddly enough this beef didn't start over the 32-year-old model and actress. Instead, it started with an unlikely source -- Max B.
It seems Khalifa took offense to Ye's new album title, Waves, since it's also the name of a type of music style mastered by Max B that only few can lay claim to.
"Please don't take the wave," tweeted Wiz last night before proceeding to post several songs by the Max B. "Just so you know what true waves are," read a tweet with a link to Max B's "Never Wanna Go Back."
Yeezy did tweet an acknowledgement towards the wave O.G. but it was too late. "All respect to Andre Harrel and Max B #Waves," tweeted Ye--a gesture that was met with a tepid response from Wiz: "Yea aight."
It seemed all said and done but Yeezy admittedly isn't one to let something go so easily. "Oh n----- must think I’m not petty cause I’m the best that’s ever made music," he tweeted on Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 27) before going into a long tirade of what he thinks about Wiz -- 17 thoughts all labeled out. While they were all random, some were a bit more distasteful than other.
After saying that he likes Wiz's "cool pants," he went on to insult Rose by saying "I know you mad every time you look at your child that this girl got you for 18 years." Perhaps it was because Ye thought Wiz was taking shots towards his wife, Kim Kardashian when the California native tweeted about "kk" which turned out to be a weed reference.
"I’m happy that I now know that KK means weed… please excuse the confusion … now back to #WAVES," he tweeted.
He also called Waves a "gospel album" and tweeted a bizarre statement after insulting the mother of Wiz's son. "What's sad is I love Wiz and I love all all my brothers and all people." It seems he's still tweeting too.
Check out how it all unfolded below and catch up with Ye's tweets here.
