If you're worried about the career of 'American Idol' cast off Pia Toscano, rest assured, she'll be just fine -- that is if you ask 'Idol' mentor and superproducer Jim Jonsin. One week after the raven-haired beauty's elimination left pretty much everyone shell-shocked, Jonsin has publicly thrown his support behind the Queens native.

"Just so you know, I'm definitely going to be working with her, she better not run and hide," Jonsin tells the BoomBox. "I was really shocked [when she was eliminated]. That girl, she had so much momentum with people loving her and her voice, she sang really well. Everyone at the show was like 'wow.' Not to take anything from the artists because they're all incredible, it's a really tough competition but I thought Pia was awesome. You just never know what these kids are going to vote on, and that right there tells you it ain't fixed, it's [the] real deal."

Jonsin who has worked with Beyonce, Lil Wayne and Usher, was handpicked by Interscope labelhead Jimmy Iovine to mentor this season's contestants and help them with their song arrangements. Ironically, Toscano and Stephano Langone were the only two contestants out of the bunch that he hadn't worked with, but when it comes to the other singers, he's not picking any favorites.

"Their level of talent has grown since we've started working with them," Jonsin reveals. "This kid Paul [McDonald], he's writing his own songs, he's got his own thing going. Casey [Abrams] is talented, Jacob [Lusk] can sing with the best of them. Lauren [Alaina] and Hailey [Reinhart], they're both very, very strong. I think those two have a huge future. Stephano is talented, I haven't gotten a chance to work with Stephano but I hope this week we get in. There's a lot talent there, so I don't know how they're picking or choosing who wins or not."

This week's show on Wednesday (April 13) found the remaining eight contestants singing their favorite songs from movies. While some, like Casey Abrams' rendition of Nat King Cole's 'Nature Boy,' blew the judges away, others like Hailey Reinhart, who tried her hand at Blondie's 'Call Me,' didn't exactly get rave reviews. The next 'Idol' contestant will get eliminated on Thursday's show (April 14), which will also include performances from Rihanna and Kelly Clarkson.
