Jennifer Hudson Hospitalized, Cancels ‘The Early Show’ Set
Jennifer Hudson was hospitalized early this morning (June 10), moments before she was scheduled to hit the stage for a live performance for CBS' 'The Early Show' Outdoor Concert Series.
After experiencing abdominal pain, Hudson had to cancel her 'Early Show' performance at the last minute. A rep for the sick singer told photographers and eager fans waiting for the show to start that Hudson was "unable to perform" and had been taken to hospital to seek treatment for stomach issues.
Earlier this morning, Hudson took to the stage as scheduled for 'Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series. After the Central Park show, Hudson was on her way across Manhattan to the CBS channel studios for her next performance when she fell ill and had to detour to a hospital.
A rep for Hudson announced later today that Hudson "was treated for food poisoning and released." Just last night, fellow popstar Selena Gomez was rushed to hospital feeling suddenly ill, as well.
