There's plenty of rising R&B singers these days, and Jacob Latimore is one of them. The Milwaukee native turns 19 years old today (Aug. 10).

Latimore's early music found a platform on Radio Disney. His first single, "Best Friend," was a small hit with the tween crowd, but it was big enough to attract the attention of producers Rodney Jerkins (he's worked with the likes of Brandy, Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston) and Lloyd. Five years after that single, Latimore signed to RCA Records and collaborated with artists like Diggy Simmons on "Like 'Em All."

Clearly he's not making tunes for the teeny boppers these days. Latimore is on his grown man ish which is evident on tracks "Heartbreak Heard Around the World" featuring T-Pain and the Rico Love-assisted "Ah Yeah." His songs aren't topping the charts just yet but he still has plenty of time to come up since he's only 19. Plus, he also has acting chops; Latimore has been featured in 2013's Black Nativity and 2014's The Maze Runner.
