French Montana Films His Trip Home to Casablanca, Morocco [WATCH]

French Montana recently took a trip to his birthplace of Casablanca, Morocco and received an abundance of love from the locals. It was the first time he's been back in 20 years and based on the rough conditions, the rapper said no one should be complaining about how hard they have it.

"This is why my heart was so heavy from Uganda," wrote French on Instagram. "When I hear somebody say it's hard to make it out the hood I laugh. Why don't you try making it out of here. No electricity, wifi, bodegas, nothing. Only thing I owned was motivation. This is my first time back in 20 years. The love was real. This what you call the bottom. First jungle I had to get through."

French also posted two videos of his visit. One that shows him arriving in Casablanca to a happy crowd and another showing different aspects of the country's rich culture.

At the moment, the Bronx rapper is gearing up to release his next studio album Jungle Rules in a few days, so the videos are clearly part of the overall promotion for it.

Besides the new LP coming out, the 32-year-old's song "Unforgettable," with Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee recently went platinum, and they also performed the cut at this year's BET Awards.

Plus, French dropped the Pharrell-produced "Bring Dem Things" a few days ago, which has been making some pretty decent noise.
