Kanye West's hospitalization following a string of highly-publicized outbursts has drawn a wave of compassion from the entertainment community. Hip-hop veteran DMX posted an Instagram video offering words of encouragement to the troubled West.

X has had his own well-documented issues with substance abuse and emotional wellness, and he urged Kanye to keep his spirits up as he battles to get better.

“This is my first Instagram joint I did specifically for Instagram and I wanted it to mean something, I wanted it to make sense,” X said. I want to give a special shout out to Kanye, let him know that my prayers are with him, my families prayers are with him. And I wanted to remind him, when god is for you, who can be against you. No one and nothing. Stand strong brother, stand strong. God is in your corner.”

West was hospitalized in Los Angeles after he agreed to seek medical treatment following a disturbance call on Monday (Nov. 21).

A police source told the Los Angeles Times that police responded to a medical welfare call and handed it off to the Los Angeles Fire Department. West agreed to seek “medical attention” and is currently being evaluated at an undisclosed hospital in L.A. The rapper had been on his Saint Pablo Tour, where he'd gone on two controversial onstage rants--voicing support for Donald Trump and criticizing former friends Jay Z and Beyonce.
